It has been announced that the USA will withdraw from the “Open Skies Agreement”, which allows over 30 countries to observe flights on each other’s territory and Russia is a party.
Blow to Europe’s military security
The first reaction from Russia was not delayed while interpreting that this step of Washington may cause tension in relations with Moscow and anger the European allies of the USA as well as some Congressmen.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Gruşko, who criticized the decision of the USA in a statement to the Russian news agency TASS, said, “Our position is very clear and stable.
However, the withdrawal of the US from this agreement hits another blow to the military security of Europe, which has already been weakened by the previous steps taken by this administration.
